(1) "Science tells us today that the universe could
not have been created in 24 hour period of 6 days"
That is an opinion and not a fact, very much like
evolution, if you can prove the above statement and
invalidate God's word, you will have done what Job in
the Old Testament could not do.
Is it not better to trust in God?
"I know the Quran also speaks about 6 days but it
should be noted that the word used is 'AYAAM' which
could mean days OR a very long period of time"
Enough with the "Could", it means one or the other,
so pick a statement you agree with, it means either
"days" or "a very long period of time" - This is
extremely important.
(2) The sun obviously isn't the cause of light on
the first day, otherwise it would have said so,
here's a fact, you don't need the sun to create
light. Electricity can also create light, you see
this everyday, also God had to create the
electromagnetic field of the Universe from the very
beginning and so this is the cause. The reason he
didn't create the sun on the first day was because
the people would have worshipped the sun as God.
Of course many people in the past did worship the sun
which is pagan worship, they hadn't read the Bible
but this is probably why God created the sun on the
4th day.
(3) A lot from above will explain this, but here's
another point - "day and night are due to the
rotation of the Earth" - that's a simplistic and very
narrow view of what is described, day and night is
primarily due to light and darkness.
(4) Already explained in part, it was a perfect world
then, however let me hit a few nails on the head here
because it's very important, Genesis 1 documents the
creation bullet point syle, Genesis 2 gives a more
detailed account, it's a background look and focuses
in on man primarily but it also contains detailed
information about what is around man.
This is an example of the "Perfect World" in action
from Genesis 2 - *Important*
"4 This is the *history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, 5 before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; 6 but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground"
Do you see? From verse 5, second line onward, it describes Eden, a perfect place where rain was not needed to water the ground and man did not have to till the ground.
(5) There is no condradiction here, a lot of this is already covered in regard to the electromagnetic field (Spectrum).** A lamp doesn't create light by itself, the light from a lamp ultimately comes from the electromagnetic spectrum which itself is light "Let there be light".
Anything else here, I will deal with later, Ok.
