While I have some time, I will try to answer your question, Aineo:
The Bible does not mention orientation, true. On the other hand, it makes no distinction among sins of thought, word or deed. The following should help:
Matthew 5:27-28 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery; But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.
[a reference to the sinful thoughts]
Psalm 39:1 I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue; I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.
[abstain from sinful words]
John 5:14 Afterward Jesus finds him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole; sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
[abstain from sinful acts]
credit the above to my very helpful pastor
As to the question of orientation, the APA invented that term, please see the below link:

I will finish that off with the following:
1 Corinth 3:19 For the wisdom of this worl is foolishness with God. For it is written, He takes the wise in their own craftiness.
Yes, I am well aware of the propaganda the homosexual community comes out with. Sure, the taking of young impressionable people is their main goal, leading them to believe that if a boy relates to his own gender on a social and intellectual level it must mean he is gay. That is just one of the tactics they use.
As that ever-common phrase goes, Satan is the Father of Deceit and Lies. Making the good forbidden, and the sinful righteous. Micah 3:2.
Our society encourages youth to experiment with alternative lifestyles; that too is part of the liberal propaganda, so of course a gay lifestyle is part of that territory.
Lastly, Absolutes do exist. There is no "gray area" or "in between" when it comes to the Bible. One is either homosexual or they're not. One is either Christian or they're not. No in-between there.
If I were to call myself a Christian but did not believe in the Bible, that would be hypocrisy.
Same thing with homosexuality.
Hope I cleared this up a bit.
