ArchivedCONTRADICTIONS IN THE QURANWhen I asked you for verification of the authenticity of the Qu'ran, I was being rhetorical. For I did say later on in my post that you would probably give me some sort of reliable Islamic source. Hence, falling right into my trap 8). Fish do always fall for the bate, and my Lord did call His followers to be "fishers of men." You said that PART (I will be fair) of the reason you would not accept the Bible as the Word of God was because their own commentators doubt the authenticity of certain parts. But why don't you doubt the authenticity of these sites? Statements like, "Muslims’ claim" and "Muslims believed" does not sound like evidence of the Qu'ran being the Word of God. I'll give you credit, you did give me what I (supposedly) asked for, which was "authenticity of the Qu'ran" itself. But that evidence does not prove it to be the Word of God. For as many of those sites you have to prove the authenticity of the Qu'ran, I also have as many sites to prove the authenticity of the Bible. We can play this back and forths game all day. But what I now want you to use is the mind which God gave you. You said: This is the problem: You are using the Qu'ran to prove this point, but that does not mean anything to me. Something that is of God, will be first established. God will not let false religions to come before His real Word. God will first establish His Word, then He will allow people (for the time being) to do all the corruption they desire. Read carefully this statement you made: Yes, I agree you can use the Qu'ran to prove the Bible wrong. But what good is that? I can use the book of Mormon (which is not a book of God) to prove Islam wrong. But what you have to realize is the Bible already established its Word way before these other "books of God" came out. The Bible came before these books and it WARNS us of the things to come. God will warn us of the things to come, He's not going to warn us of the things that passed. Jesus clearly teaches this in Matthew 24 when He CONTINUALLY warns His desciples by saying, "Behold, I have told you beforehand." If the Qu'ran is truley God's word, then God is a liar. God does not work backwards. He let's us know things before it happens. He does not go back and correct His "corrupted" Word. The verse does not mean ALL Christians will be able to fulfill those signs. When Jesus was doing His earthly ministry, did He give the power to do miracles to ALL who followed Him? He only gave that power to His 12 desciples (Matthew 10), (Luke10:19-20). And even when they were given that power, they did not get to use it when Jesus sent them out on their own. Jesus gave them the power, but in Matthew 17:19 after Jesus did a miracle, "Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?" and in the next verse, Jesus says because they did not believe. Also, not all people are given the gifts of healing and casting out demons, for Romans 12:4-8 says, For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. |
