ArchivedThe REAL definition of faithWhen you look in the dicrionary, you will see that faith means belief without proof. But this is not the true definition of faith. In Hebrews 11:1, we see that the REAL definition of faith is "....the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Thus eliminating the concept of "blind faith." To say Christians have blind faith is an oxymoron. How can something be "blind" if it can be proved through evidence? The evidence of the existance of God is CLEAR no matter how much one may deny the truth. Looking at intelligent design shows you that these things don't happen by chance, but is the work of the Almighty Himself. Hebrews 11:3 says: Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Notice that is says worlds (plural). How does the Bible know (note this is from the KJV) that there is more than one world? This was said before the people of the era even knew of space and other planets. The Bible also says God made man from the dust. Well guess what?! When you die, you will return to dust, and this is a fact. As Genesis 3:19 says: ".....for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. So you see, there is enough evidence that proves the existance of God. Just because you do not believe in God, does not mean your opinion is true. Athiests have no evidence whatsoever against there not being a God. But we Christians do have evidence that there is a God. So the next time an athiest says we Christians have "blind faith," realize that if there was a such thing as blind faith, it will be from the athiests. For they have blind faith in beliving there is no God. We believers however, have REAL faith, due to evidence. |
