Peace Alpha,
I see I need to clarify my position on the whole issues of sin. Islam teaches us that all humans are born sinless, and that it is due to our own actions that lead us to committing sins. As my brother said, we sin because of our disabodience to God. No where did I say that humans are prefect. I do agree as human we sin day and night, but if we wish to be forgiven, then we turn to the One who created us, God Almighty. Now to say that we are born with sin is completely against God's justice. How could I be born with sin, when Adam didn't ask me before he picked the apple neither did he ask my family(btw God forgave Adam and Eve).
Islam teaches us that every child is born Muslim, eventhough they maybe born into a Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist family and as they grow up, it's the influence of their families that either make them into a Christian and so forth. When they reach the age of puberty, it is at this stage that the recording of their sins begin. Also if a non-Muslim reverts to Islam, then they are too sinless, until they begin to sin. I don't if I can make myself anymore clearer.
Peace and Blessings be to the Believers
