ArchivedTrinity exists in the OTPeace Alpha, Exactly my point! Such a confusing doctrine is surely not from God. And I ask you, did Jesus teach the trinity? Is the word trinity even found in the Bible? This concept of trinity was formulated long after Jesus left the Earth. It was Tertullian, a lawyer and presbyter of the third-century Church in Carthage, who was the first to use the word "Trinity" when he put forth the theory that the Son and the Spirit participate in the being of God, but all are of one being of substance with the Father. Paul also laid the groundwork for such when he put forth the idea of Jesus being a "divine Son". After all, a Son does need a Father, and what about a vehicle for God's revelations to man? In essence, Paul named the principal players, but it was the later Church people who put the matter together. So you see, such a doctrine did not come from God, but that the confusion came from man! The reason why I was giving you a "description" of the Angel Gabriel, is to show you the importance of this particular Angel. It is because of Gabriel that Jesus received his Injil, that David recieved the psalms, that Moses recieved the Torah, and that Mohammad recieved the Quran. The Quran uses the words Ruh-ul-Qudus. In some translations of the Quran, the Holy spirit is written down, but for example the translation I use, does not write the Holy Spirit, but leaves it us Ruh-ul-Qudus. This Ruh-ul-Qudus, is the Angel Gabriel. In other Surahs of the Quran, Gabriel is described as the "Spirit of truth and Faith". And Allah knows best! Peace and Blessings be to the Believers |
