ArchivedJudging & Testing God??Peace ma Lady, You do not have any proof that the gospels are fabricated. That's just your biased opinion. You have to remember you were BORN Muslim. And there are not 24,000 different gospels (Don't get excited yet, read on). If you cannot tell the truth on this fact, what makes you think someone should believe you when you say the gospels are fabricated? All the gospels that we have are ALL the same( Don't get excited yet, read on). They ALL say Jesus died for our sins. Show me a gospel (out of all that we have present) that does not teach the death of Jesus for our sins. If you want to see a difference in the gospels then I'll show you one right now by using the oldest English version and one of the newest English versions: The KJV says in John 3:16- For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The New Living Translations says in John 3:16- "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. What a difference! I like to refer to Jesus as the Son of God, or the mediator between God and man. If Jesus says the Father is greater than Him, then I will believe Him. If you want to say the Father is greater than Jesus, then that's fine. The problem I have with Muslims is they do not believe God sacrificed Jesus for our sins. Even with all the UNCORRUPTED prophecies. And Mormons believe that they can become a God, Christians do not claim themselves to be God. There is a big difference. You know for a fact? What facts have you given me? If you want to say you base your "facts" plainly on your beliefs, then that's all the "facts" you've been giving me. If we are to base facts on beliefs, then I should be shaking in my knees for not believing in the Maya Maize God and all those other fake "gods". Woo..ooo..oooo!, I'm trembling now! Also, I already pointed out the different versions. The only difference is the choice of wording, but they all have the same meaning and the same theme: Jesus is the way to eternal life! Didn't I say that you were going to make these kind of statements? I said, "If you're going to claim that only SOME parts of the Bible are corrupt, then that's bogus because you're only basing that on your own interpretation........that is, whatever it takes to make the Qu'ran look like the word of God." Fatima, what you're doing is no different from Mormons or Jehova's Witnesses. You say you're not using it for your own benefit, but then you say you use the Bible to prove the Qu'ran? If I'm not mistaken, you are Muslim, so you ARE using the Bible for your own benefit, or I should say your religion's benefit to be more specific. Any, if you read my original quote, the words "your benefit" was never there. I specifically said for the "Qu'ran." The verse in Acts implies they preached only to the Jews at that time. It never said they will NEVER preach to the Gentiles, because after many Jews did not want to believe, Jesus' desciples went over to Gentile land (Acts 13:46-48, Acts 14:27, Romans 9:24). Don't you read on? Those are just a few verses out of many to support the goepel being preached to the Gentiles. In Acts 9:15, this is what Jesus tells Ananias about Paul- But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: Also, when Jesus was alive(before His death), He preached the Gospel to His people in Isreal. But when He resurrected after His death, He told His desciples to preach the Gospel in other lands. Jesus says in Luke 24:46-47- Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. The Gospel was to be first preached to the Jews, that's why at the beginning of Acts, you see His desciples preaching to the Jews only. Jesus also says in Mark 16:15- Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. In Matthew 28:19, Jesus says- Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: If you want to say we no longer follow some ceremonial laws from the Torah, that's O.K. because we don't have to. But the gospel itself is still applied to today. I can support that more than you can refute it, and I already did. What are you talking about? Why are you switching up the meaning of my replies? Didn't I give you biblical passages which imply that it is foolish to be drunk and that wine is a mocker? I even gave you a verse which Jesus Himself says we should not be involved in drukenness. Was that the only thing you could quote from me on the matter?! When I mentioned the "honey" part, I was showing you that even the simple things which man thinks is normal can be harmful, and when I gave you the "food" example I was linking it to drinking alcohol. Read this carefully: The Bible teaches if eating meat causes someone else to stumble then you should not eat meat at all. If you are to abstain from meat for the benefit of others, why not alcohol?! That was my point! The Bible even says SPECIFICALLY the samething about alcohol (Romans 14:21). So we not being "on the same page" is not a result of my actons and understanding, but yours. Did I guarantee that it was unfermented grape juice? I specifically said, "....to say that Jesus drank alcohol is debatable(I'm not saying that it is false)." And I made a good argument by mentioning the "fruit of the vine" in the Last Supper. Nevertheless, the point is, the Bible teaches: 1) Do not drink to get drunk. 2) If you know you are weak towards alcohol, do not drink it. 3) If alcohol causes someone else to stumble do not drink it. It seems like you have not read the Bible, otherwise you would not have made claims about it teaching the gospel is ONLY for the Jews and not the Gentiles. Eventhough you might be more knowledgable about the Qu'ran than I am, atleast I'm not going around saying things the Qu'ran does not imply more than you are doing with the Bible.
