ArchivedMuslim befriends a Christian? I doubt it!Yes it does, what else could those 24,000 copies be? Not true man. You misunderstand the Hadiths, they were written like 200 years after the death of the Prophet, how do you expect them to be accurate? Just like in your gospels. They are not accurate and they can never be. Mark and John were unaware of this story. Actually the idea that Satan tries to temp God is weird. Satan would not dare to face God, Satan would dare ask God to go through himself on a top of a mountain and not die. Do you think Satan is unaware if that? or is it that Satan was trying to temp a human who he knows isn't God? Jesus quoted the scriptures and didn't reference that to himself. How does he make himself equal to Lord? He is preaching to them. ya right, Jesus calls himself Lord and distinguish himself from Father which is the lord also. Using the word Lord like that was common during that time to holy people, heck they were also called sons of gods and gods also. 21: "Not every one who says to me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Apparently also, they didn't accuse him of blasphemy just like they did in John when he said God and I are one. It was well understood by them as Jesus is not God. See references on how the word Lord is being used in the bible you'll see my point. 1: And getting into a boat he crossed over and came to his own city. 2: And behold, they brought to him a paralytic, lying on his bed; and when Jesus saw their faith he said to the paralytic, "Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven." 3: And behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, "This man is blaspheming." 4: But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, "Why do you think evil in your hearts? 5: For which is easier, to say, `Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, `Rise and walk'? 6: But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins" He was given the authority he didn't have it in the first place. When he said why you think evil means why you think I'm blasphemes when I'm not. When we reach John you will see that he defended himself against calling himself God or son of God. If Jesus was God then thinking he is blashpeming isn't evil. Luke: 22: When Jesus perceived their questioning, he answered them, "Why do you question in your hearts? it's not the same words, no mention of evil here which lead to a question: What did Jesus really say, if those people who wrote the gospels why can't they agree on what Jesus reall said? Mark : 27: And he said to them, "The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath; 28: so the Son of man is lord even of the sabbath." I don't think Jesus is even referring himself here. It's just too obvious. You can read this also and see how Jesus wasn't referring to himself at all. Besides, here is an example on how the word LORD is used here. Mark : 24: And the Pharisees said to him, "Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the sabbath?" 25: And he said to them, "Have you never read what David did, when he was in need and was hungry, he and those who were with him: 26: how he entered the house of God, when Abi'athar was high priest, and ate the bread of the Presence, which it is not lawful for any but the priests to eat, and also gave it to those who were with him?" and all prophets's name also. Same could be found for other prophets in the OT. He still didn't say he is God anyway, let's continue.... MATTHEW : And when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Beth'phage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, 2: saying to them, "Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find an ass tied, and a colt with her; untie them and bring them to me. 3: If any one says anything to you, you shall say, `The Lord has need of them,' and he will send them immediately." 4: This took place to fulfil what was spoken by the prophet, saying, 5: "Tell the daughter of Zion, Behold, your king is coming to you, humble, and mounted on an ass, and on a colt, the foal of an ass." and why would that refer to Jesus in anyway? Jesus has always been misunderstood because people like you took what he said word for word and didn't try to understand what he really meant by them. We'll see when we get to John. Luke: 30: saying, "Go into the village opposite, where on entering you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever yet sat; untie it and bring it here. Luke and Matthew disagree here, according to matthew he fulfilled the prophecy but according to luke he didn't..How can two inspired men by the Holy spirit not agree on such an important prophecy like that? MATT : 63: But Jesus was silent. And the high priest said to him, "I adjure you by the living God, tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God." 64: Jesus said to him, "You have said so. But I tell you, hereafter you will see the Son of man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven." Mark : 61: But he was silent and made no answer. Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?" 62: And Jesus said, "I am; and you will see the Son of man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven." Luke: 70: And they all said, "Are you the Son of God, then?" And he said to them, "You say that I am." Notice the amazing differences. In Luke he says :"You say I am" which indicates that he was saying that they are saying that about him, not him. Same case in Matthew :"you said so", not the same for mark :"yes I am" and they asked him are you Christ? the son of God? and what is son of god means? You should know how the term son of God is used among the jews. Jesus said :" you worship your God, my God. Your father and my father" so the father of Jesus is our father also. There is nothing special about calling God father because jews did so also. Jesus said he can't do nothing without the help of his father also which means that if it wasn't for the father the son would do nothing. Which implies that God who created Jesus supported him with miracles just like he did for many other prophets. Luke 17:18 - Jesus asks why the other nine lepers did not come back to give praise to Him, God, except the Samaritan leper. Luke: 18: Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?" and why would Jesus be referring to himself over here? wouldn't he said "give praise to me"? or was Jesus referring to praise God? still Jesus didn't call himself God I see. I don't see Jesus calling himself God over here. "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord" is a term used by many other prophets from Isreal, are they God? NO. John: 18: This was why the Jews sought all the more to kill him, because he not only broke the sabbath but also called God his Father, making himself equal with God. And does that mean he said he was God or did they misunderstood him? did they not like him because he showed them they weren't faithful and threatened their creditibility.Jesus did not call himself God still. Before we begin with John : most of the stuff John claimed Jesus said the other three gospels were just so unaware of it. did Jesus not say he can't do nothing without the father? ---->means he is not God. He was supported with miracles just like any other prophet, and if God has given him judgement, did he say he was God? NO. Jesus also said : John "15: You judge according to the flesh, I judge no one." 8) and whoever does not honor the prophets of God does not honor the Father. Jesus still didn't say he was God. Adam came down from heaven also. Jesus did not say he is GOD. John : 12: Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." and the prophets lead to the light of God just like Jesus did. I have yet to see a clear statement from Jesus saying he is GOD.Teachings of Jesus are the teaching of God. Does that mean he is God? No because the teaching of Moses are the teachings of God also. and why did Jesus refused to be called GOOD in Matthew, clear contradiction. Lord and teacher doesn't mean he is God. Now let's see John 29: My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. 30: I and the Father are one." 31: The Jews took up stones again to stone him. 32: Jesus answered them, "I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of these do you stone me?" 33: The Jews answered him, "It is not for a good work that we stone you but for blasphemy; because you, being a man, make yourself God." 34: Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law, `I said, you are gods'? 35: If he called them gods to whom the word of God came (and scripture cannot be broken), 36: do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, `You are blaspheming,' because I said, `I am the Son of God'? 37: If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me; Jesus is like : "You are called gods in the scripture", he was DEFENDING himself against what they though he meant. Holy men of Israel were called gods and sons of gods and Jesus was no different because he was a prophet among them doing God's works (not Jesus works) How can this not mean he isn’t God or son of God? He clearly defended himself against what they said. No where in the Four Gospel do you find Jesus claiming to be God. Man, two gospels don't even mention that he was born to a virgin, how can they just be unaware if this very important fact that defines his divinity and not mention it. Why did Jesus screamed on the cross and said :"God WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME", If Jesus knew he was going to be crucified then why would he think God betrayed him? yet, if you read the four gospels they don't even agree on what he said when he died. Each has a different version of the story. Same thing for resurrection. Those men were not inspired and totally depended on account witnesses and it is apparent they weren't even there to agree on what Jesus really said. Matthew 9:9 :"And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him." did Matthew write this about himself? wouldn't be right for matthew to say : he saw me and he said to me follow me and I followed him" or did someone wrote that and claimed matthew wrote that? Wouldn't the verses below contradict what you said about Jesus being given judgement on earth? John : 5:30 I cannot do anything of myself. I judge as I hear, and my judgment is honest because I am not seeking my own will but the will of him who sent me John 7:16-18 My doctrine is not my own; it comes from him who sent me. Any man who chooses to do his will will know about this doctrine- namely, whether it comes from God or is simply spoken on my own. Whoever speaks on his own is bent on self-glorification. The man who seeks glory for him who sent him is truthful; there is no dishonesty in his heart. Is this God talking about himself, or did God somehow divide himself in a way and made the earthly part no God. Did you not ruin the unity of God when you called him three in One? Why those other two entities can't speak of themselves? God is not known? then why even divide him in the first place if he's unknown. Jesus said the glory will be given to another NATION (not NATIONS) and this great nation is the Muslims whose God has proclaimed them to be a GREAT NATION. A great Nation to God isn't great in its power or money or number, a great nation to God is a nation that glorifies God non stop every day, worship him, fast for him, help the poor, abolish slavery, and be a nation that says this is RIGHT and this is WRONG. |
