Truth be told, mankind was not created to be sex crazed and immoral. To begin with, homosexuality is only considered immoral because it says so in the bible, not because it is intrinsically bad. Now, I'm sure this has come up before, but homosexuality is not by necessity about sex. To say that homosexuality is bad because it's about lust is foolish. People on these boards like to say things to the effect of "homosexuality is about having sex with people from the same gender and so is wrong because it's about having lust." By that same reasoning, heterosexuality is about having sex with people of a different gender, is about lust, and so is wrong. Is there a lot of sex among homosexual men on average? Yes. Is there among lesbian women? No. Homosexuality doesn't promote promiscuity. Homosexual men are more promiscuous than average because they are men, not because they are homosexual. Men have a stronger sex drive on average than women. Ask yourself: "would the majority of heterosexual men in this country sleep with a different woman every night were it possible for them to?" I believe the answer is yes. It might also be interesting to note that Leviticus states: 22 "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable." If interpreted the way you interpret it, it only relates to men sleeping with men. Not women sleeping with women. The bible generally likes to cover its bases. Why not say something like "likewise with laying with women the way one lays with a man?" Perhaps this is moot. Perhaps not (as it might lend credence to the idea that this isn't about homosexual unions). In addition, you seem to believe that, since promiscuity is so prevalent in male homosexual "culture," it must be a consequence of homosexuality. This is a foolish assumption. People tend to say that even if homosexuals don't make love, they are wrong for being sexually attracted to the same sex. The bible teaches that lusting for someone of the opposite sex is also wrong. Therefore, heterosexuality is also wrong. Why is it that people tend to believe that heterosexuality isn't primarily about sex but homosexuality is? Also, gay bashing is prevalent in Christian culture. Many Christians do it all the time. Is it a part of Christianity? No. You, yourself, are in favor of Christianity and opposed to gay bashing (for which I commend you). Likewise, I am in favor of the acceptance of homosexuality, while also being opposed to promiscuity. Also, you say god created one man and one woman, that schizophrenia etc. are genetic, and that god didn't create these diseases. If they are genetic, the genes and dispositions responsible for them would have to be present in the original two humans, and thus god created them. On the animal references. True, animals kill each other all the time. Do we say killing is bad because it is unnatural? No. Clearly it is a natural thing for animals/humans to do. Homosexuality is said to be wrong because it is unnatural. Could this be a reason it is wrong? No. It is a natural thing for animals to do (bonobos being of special importance because they are among our closest relatives (assuming you believe in evolution, which you need not)). The key points here: homosexuality is not about lust and is thus not wrong for this reason and Homosexuality is not unnatural.
