ArchivedThe Quran borrows many things from many sources.Peace Alexei, Well, the Bible isn't corrupted--so why not it be the judge? The Quran is very much based in the Bible, and if the Bible was so corrupted, why doesn't the Quran contain more beliefs from the "greatest, best, and most beautiful" religion? Face it, Muhammed knew many prexisting myths and stories and he INCORPORATED them into the Quran. It just so happens that Muhammed's closest friend was a Zoroastrian high priest, Salman-e-Fars. How very ironic! http://tenets.zoroastrianism.com/zsaint33b.html http://www.bible.ca/islam/library/Tisda ... chapt5.htm Clearly Islam was influenced by this ancient religion. I read your site, okay. In any case, an ancient religious book is known to us as Avesta, even though it has not come down to us in its entirety. The Avesta, among other things, contains the following statement of Zoaster: "I have not perfected the religion. Another Prophet will come after me and he will perfect this religion; his name will be 'Mercy for the entire universe.' This verse never came from the Avesta. Zoroaster does say this: I profess myself a Mazda-worshipper, a Zoroastrian, having vowed it and professed it. I pledge myself to the well-thought thought, I pledge myself to the well-spoken word, I pledge myself to the well-done action. I pledge myself to the Mazdayasnian religion, which causes the attack to be put off and weapons put down; which upholds khvaetvadatha (kin-marriage), which possesses Asha; which of all religions that exist or shall be, is the greatest, the best, and the most beautiful: Ahuric, Zoroastrian. I ascribe all good to Ahura Mazda. This is the creed of the Mazdayasnian religion. Ashem Vohu...!! He declares that his religion is the "greatest, best and the most beautiful." |
