I found that they have found stone inscriptions proving the existence of king david and some of his actions, They have also proven the existence of the great flood though some scientists say it was the result of glaciation. Along those lines there is also a fair amount of facts proving the location of the ark. There is also a scientific study under way which suggests that there was a time when the sun stood still for a day. With amount of evidence for sections of the bible it is not so large a leap to say that the rest is also true. I also find that evolution itself is proof for creation because if you reduce it to it's basics it says that everything came about in the order creation has already suggested. The only real difference is that evolution says one became the other while creation created each on it's own. How is this evidence? Well it shows that a civillization 2000 years ago knew how the world was created and as they lacked any scientifi means of discovering this they would of had to have been told. Then you get into the theory of the Intelligent Design and the irreducibibily of atoms. Or the logic theories of needing an created creator to start the domino effect and the Thomas' famous bet.
you may say *taht*, but for what purpose were the ancient greek gods created? To provide an explanation for something otherwise inexplicable, often rain, meteor showers, where did the world come from, etc. So the same, in my eyes, is true of any deity, when the answer to a question is found, the god that had been that answer faded out. I believe this would happen with any god, the answer simply must be found.
