ArchivedWas Jesus a real personWe are not biased, we just have faith. It just seems like we are biased because we defend ourselves when skeptics say we have blind faith. It is always the skeptics who are first to be offensive before we are forced to be "biased." This is not a true statement, because there is no evidence that goes against our beliefs. All skeptics can do is speculate. Believers are taught by Jesus Himself not to doubt, but skeptics can only doubt the non-existence of Jesus, they cannot prove it. Check out this quote from a skeptic I found on that site (religioustolerance): "Historically, it is quite doubtful whether Christ ever existed at all, and if He did we do not know anything about Him." Bertrand Russell, "Why I am not a Christian." The guy is not even sure if Jesus Christ existed. If that is your opinion then fine. But do not tell me he is giving evidence of Jesus' non-existence. And he also says, "if He did we do not know anything about Him." Talk about being ignorant. That is why we have the gospels. But yes, you are right. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Just do not say we Christians have blind faith. |
