ArchivedMohammed Sinless, Claim Debunked...Peace to all, The explanation can be found in that same thread. Refer to it for answers. You may find your answer on this link: http://www.iol.ie/~afifi/BICNews/Sabeel/sabeel19.htm And Scorpion, read the link before responding. What a load of BS. Show me one example from authentic sources in which Muhammad converted people through violence. And I stress on the word authentic. Please don’t take the tactic that Bushmaster took. Bring forward only authentic sources. And I don’t disagree with you. And the same can be said for Muhammad. Ahh.. see now you know the difference between truth and falsehood. God doesn’t tell His believers to perish at the hands of their enemies. He tells them to defend themselves. Bushmaster, are you getting all this? Jesus said you shouldn’t defend yourself against your enemies. And your opinion on the matters is…? Muhammad said in Sahih Muslim: “My Lord, forgive my people for they have no knowledge”. He made this supplication for his enemies. Muhammad’s marriages were either to cement alliances or to aid the women whom the husbands perished in the battles or were murdered by the Mekkans. John L. Esposito, Professor of Religion and Director of the Centre for International Studies at the College of the Holy Cross, says that most of these marriages had "political and social motives" (Islam: The Straight Path, Oxford University Press, 1988, p. 19). This he explained as follows: As was customary for Arab chiefs, many were political marriages to cement alliances. Others were marriages to the widows of his companions who had fallen in combat and were in need of protection (John L. Esposito, Islam: The Straight Path, pp. 19-20). By Muhammad marrying the divorced wife of his adopted son, it was meant as lesson to future muslims. BY reading the verse, you should find your answer: And (remember) when you said to him (Zaid bin Hârithah; the freedslave of the Prophet ) on whom Allâh has bestowed Grace (by guiding him to Islâm) and you (O Muhammad too) have done favour (by manumitting him) "Keep your wife to yourself, and fear Allâh." But you did hide in yourself (i.e. what Allâh has already made known to you that He will give her to you in marriage) that which Allâh will make manifest, you did fear the people (i.e., Muhammad married the divorced wife of his manumitted slave) whereas Allâh had a better right that you should fear Him. So when Zaid had accomplished his desire from her (i.e. divorced her), We gave her to you in marriage, so that (in future) there may be no difficulty to the believers in respect of (the marriage of) the wives of their adopted sons when the latter have no desire to keep them (i.e. they have divorced them). And Allâh's Command must be fulfilled. Is this about the “satanic verses” again? If so, this has already been answered numerous times. No offence intended Scorpion, but this man that you refer to as “Jesus”, was his name really Jesus? Is there even a “J” in the aramic language? Ok I guess my work is done.
