alpha: "Adultery is nothing to be ashamed of? Fornication is nothing to be ashamed of? Lustful and evil thoughts are nothing to be ashamed of?"
Adultry? Not something I would do because, like many others, I consider cheating on your spouse to be a morally wrong decision. Fornication? No. It might not be the "xitan" thing to do (Though many of them do it anyway), but if two peope choose to have consenting sex, it's none of my business to tell them how to live their lives. Lust? Not at all. Lust is an extremely natural thought and feeling. Condeming people for being human is virtually pointless in my opinion. Evil? Depends on how you define evil. I do not condone or encourage commiting harmful acts against One's self or others.
alpha: " You make it seem as if the master is the one who is evil and not the servant. No, no my friend...it is the servant who is the evil one and the hypocrite and the master is the righteous one."
Never meant to imply that either one of them were evil. I was just expressing my opinion that (whether you believe them to be "evil" or not) slavery (defined as the state of being under control of another) is wrong no matter what the date is or what the laws of the land may say. I was only wondering why jesus didn't teach to love thine enemy rather than treat him as a slave. No one should be treated as a second class human being.
alpha: "Too bad they don't know Christ died for sinners."
Depends on whether not you buy into the concept of sin. If I were to say something like "Satan is going to kill you," chances are you would probably be a little offended and rightfully so. Acting as if any one "faith" is the "be all and end all" or the only "absolute" as far as world religions go, could be considered to be an extremely arrogant position on a forum meant for inviting open discussion and conversation on a Theology related site (in this case, xianity)
alpha: "He who denies the existance of God and does not even take his time to test the promises of God in the Bible is the same as a person who denies a microbe by refusing to look into a microscope"
Actually, I once did a long time ago (as many of us are brought up with judeo/xtian backgrounds) and I've decided that I'm not interested.
