In the Hebrew language , a person given great power from God ( Yahawah) is also called "god" or lord (Aloheem) as shown in Exodus 7:1 "And the Lord(Yahawah) said unto Moses , See I have made thee "a god" ( Aloheem) to Pharaoh : and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet "
Please note the following :
When refering to Moses being made " god" ; the letter "g" was not written in capital ..because he wasn't a real "god" ..
In Acts 14 :11-12 Paul & Barnabas were called "gods" by the people :
"11-And when the people saw what Paul had done , they lifted up their voices ,saying in the speech of Lycaonia , the "gods" are come down to us in the likeness of men .12- And they called Barnabas ,Jupiter;and Paul Mercurius"
Moses , Jesus ,Barnabas and Paul were " gods" to others because they carried "God's" message to them ....to worship HIM & not THEM.
As for the Hebrew word for " son" of God : it is used to describe a person who is very close to God as shown in Psalms 2:7 " I will declare the decree : the Lord hath said unto me , Thou art my Son ; this day have I begotten thee."
Also in Exodus 4: 22 " And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh ,Thus saith the Lord , Israel is my son ,even my firstborn"
Neither Jacob nor David were accepted as "real sons of God " in the biological sense of the term ..& Jesus is no different..
