HomeSweetRome... have you ever actually READ the bible? Like, read it in your heart?
Matthew 12:46
While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him.
Mark 3:31
Then Jesus' mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent someone in to call him.
Luke 8:19
Now Jesus' mother and brothers came to see him, but they were not able to get near him because of the crowd.
John 2:12
After this he went down to Capernaum with his mother and brothers and his disciples. There they stayed for a few days.
John 7:3-10
3Jesus' brothers said to him, "You ought to leave here and go to Judea, so that your disciples may see the miracles you do. 4No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world." 5For even his own brothers did not believe in him.
6Therefore Jesus told them, "The right time for me has not yet come; for you any time is right. 7The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that what it does is evil. 8You go to the Feast. I am not yet going up to this Feast, because for me the right time has not yet come." 9Having said this, he stayed in Galilee.
10However, after his brothers had left for the Feast, he went also, not publicly, but in secret.
Acts 1:12-14
12Then they returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mount of Olives, a Sabbath day's walk[2] from the city. 13When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. Those present were Peter, John, James and Andrew; Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew; James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James. 14They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.
Hmm... how can he have brothers when mary's womb was closed? Did Joseph commit adultery? the earthly father of Jesus committing adultery? oh my gosh......
Acts 17:11
Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.
Isiah 8:19-20
19 When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living? 20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn.
I'm trying to find more scripture like this and will add another post with these kind of scriptures. But what I am trying to say is, that scripture, or "words from God" that people get, have to be tested onto the already existing scripture.
Every book in the bible, can be supported onto previous books of the bible.
The men in Acts 17 who looked up this were in agreement with this commandment, and that is how we should all react when people get words from God, or are preaching the word of God. is it true what they say, is it biblically based? if not, it is not true, but a lie... and there are warnings over that in the bible...
2 Peter 3:16
He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand,
which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
Be carefull before accepting other scriptures as true... whilst parts might be true, if there are errors and untruthfullness in them, they are not worthy to look at because they are distorted, and therefor unreliable.
Please people... fellow Christians... why did you not come up with this?
plus... this sounds familiar, I am sure it will sound familiar to you...
1 Timothy 1:4
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose conciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be recieved with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth.

PS, you should watch the movie stigmata... let's just say the approach of the catholic church in it is "The messenger must be silenced"...
Really an elightening movie...
I found it under the Horror section(Must be the wounds off the cross that made it so... quite horrid how they are made, but then again... Jesus suffered the same wounds... wonder why Jesus movies aren't under horror..., but this movie isn't much of a horror movie... but more like a wake up call to the catholic church)
