ArchivedOneGod, my friend...I'm sorry, I know you were asking this question to Bushmaster, but I can't let it linger around for people to see without a response. There are hadiths in which some Muslims say is authentic and not authentic. Some "unauthentic" hadiths (as Muslims claim) can be used against the integrity of Islam. Now, I'm sure there is some way Muslims judge whether something among their own scriptures is true or false. The same is for the canon of Biblical scripture--which developed its structure from God Himself in the Old Testament. As for Christians killing people who do not accept their faith--read Omega's current signature on what Christ said, and that will be the response. As for the Aramaic or Hebrew gospels, Thomas S. McCall says it best: Thus, there is no evidence that the Gospels were written originally in any other language but Greek. If there were versions of Matthew or the other Gospels originally penned in Aramaic (in accordance with the language Christ used), they were very quickly translated into Greek so that they could be utilized throughout the Roman world. Both Greek and Aramaic were essentially Gentile languages, and the Lord was able and willing to use them to convey His teachings, so that the Good News could go forth from His homeland of Israel to "the uttermost parts of the earth." |
