ArchivedBiblical Writers Just Blew This One !It only APPEARED to you to be in a chronological order , just like when Jesus appeared to Saul "the false prophet" ..it was all an imagination .. The Quran clearly stated that Thamood came after 'Aad : "[7.73] And to Thamood We sent their brother Salih. He said: 'Worship Allah, my nation, for you have no god except He. A clear proof has come to you from your Lord. Here is the shecamel of Allah, a sign for you. Leave her to graze in the earth of Allah and do not touch her with evil, lest a painful punishment seizes you. [7.74] Remember, that He has made you the successor of 'Aad, and lodged you in the land. You have built palaces on its plains and hewed out houses in the mountains.." .. Clearly 50: 12-13 is NOT in a chronological order.. And since the premise of your argument is false ,then the question does remain unanswered: why did the Bible writers blow it? because what they wrote was/is not God's words..SIMPLE.. The Only Pharaoh referred to in the Quran was Moses' contemporary ..so you're basically posting DISINFORMATION ! and YUP it's not nice to do so , you're yet to present a single factoid ..building your case on false premise ,misunderstanding and assumptions about 50:12-13 ,only makes you look bad! Does God use generic titles or the absolute accurate ones? Only accurate ones and it shows in the Quran. With the current data available to us from Egyptology, the mentioning of the ruler of Egypt is addressed as King (Malik, in Arabic) during the time of Joseph's(P) and Pharaoh (Fir'awn, in Arabic) during the time of Moses(P) by the Qur'an is amazingly accurate.. CAN'T SAY THE SAME ABOUT THE BIBLE THOUGH! Let me repeat it to you AGAIN: Nelson's Illustrated Bible Dictionary agrees with modern linguist research and states concerning Pharaoh: the title of the kings of Egypt until 323BC. In the Egyptian language the word Pharaoh means "great house." This word was originally used to describe the palace of the king. Around 1500BC this term was applied to the king. |
