"For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
BTW this is propaganda
Quote:
With respect, your theology is flawed. Although you are correct in asserting that the practice of homosexuality is a sin, nowhere in scripture will you find any warrant for consigning people with a homosexual orientation (especially if they are celibate) to the Lake of Fire. Such dogma is not the Word of God, just good old fashioned bigotry, and from God's perspective is just as sinful as homosexuality since as Christians we are commanded to love our neighbours and our enemies regardless of their sexual orientation. Such attitudes do nothing to endear Christ and the gospel to the homosexual community (Rom.2:24).
If I was you I would pray to receive the Holy Spirit so you will know the difference between the god of this world and God!"
I notice that the passage of Scripture which you cite above states that it is those who do such things who will not inherit the kingdom of God, not those who are orientated toward such things (especially if they are celibate). Interestingly enough homosexuality is not mentioned in the list which you cite?! Furthermore, this is precisely what I have said all along.
So, with respect, would you care to tell me why my previous comments are "propaganda" and therefore untrue?! (It would appear that you cannot tell the difference between "propaganda" and truth, possibly because you yourself have been "indoctrinated" with the propaganda of bigotry, so much so that you are not even aware of it?!)
Believe me, after 30 years of being a born-again, Spirit filled, Christian I know the difference between the god of this world and the God of the Bible.
My prayer for you dear brother is that God would convict you of your latent bigoted attitude toward homosexuals and bring you to that place where you will repent of it and begin to see them, not as the devil incarnate, but, as fallen human beings, just like the rest of us, who desperately need to know the love of God for ourselves, personally, as human beings, since Christ came, not to call the righteous, but (homosexual) sinners to repentence.
Yours, in His service,
