ArchivedA Complaint to Allah ...I agree with what you said, Carol. I'm just mentioning that what one person doesn't consider an attack, another one will. Jesus was killed for His words. There were also times the Jews wanted to kill Him for his words and He hid himself from them. We can sometimes tell the truth in the most loving manner and it will be considered an attack by the recipient. I simply wanted to have clarified what of Jesus's words we are allowed to say here and if we should sugar-coat them more than He did. I usually include the word "we" or "human nature" when talking about our sins. I have found that this doesn't always set well with unbelievers who don't admit they sin either. In the passage you and I were referring to, Jesus cited the reason for unbelief as being deceived by the devil in people who don't recognize who sent Christ. Do you not believe this applies to anyone who doesn't recognize who Christ is or just the Pharisees? I do not believe it refers only to the Pharisees precisely because of the reason He gave which was an inability to see the true God in Christ. Why would people other than the Pharisees who don't believe Jesus is the Son of God be ruled by the Holy Spirit and not the devil? That is an impossibility. Therefore, i use that passage to refer to any human being who does not believe Jesus is the Son of God because I believe that is what He means. |
