Before I seem to get fully behind the "random stochastic chaos" scientist viewpoint, I'd like to say it still leaves room for God. Just because things like electrons are completely non-deterministic and incomprehensible to the human mind does not mean they are out of God's control.
Take Chaos theory, and its Sensitive Dependence on Initial Conditions. This basically states that in the majority of physical systems it is impossible to predict what state the system will be in the future. Using the classic analogy, a butterfly flapping its wings in Panama could cause a hurricane in Japan. As such, we will never be able to forecast the weather beyond a few week into the future.
This is because humans can only measure things to a finite limit. There's always one more decimal place just beyond our reach. But God is infinite. Just because things appear impossible and without any order or control does not mean that God is not the author of them.
The marvels of evolution, with its great advances may appear statistical and random, but it doesn't mean God's not behind them.
All I'm really getting at is that God and Science are NOT mutually exclusive. In fact, I believe they can be of great benefit to each other.
Any thoughts?
