Hello Omega!
Do you think that it is possible that the thief could have been Baptized with water?
Some might argue that the thief could have been baptized before he was put to death. But then again, who could of Baptized him?
John the Baptist, who was commisioned to baptize with authority from the approval of God could have been the only one who could have, even Jesus was Baptized from John to fulfill the Perfect Will of God, and to show obedience to the Father.
Could the thief had been baptized earlier from John? It is a possibility!
Well, you know it might have been raining when Jesus said this to the criminal. Supposedly it was getting stormy before Jesus died.
The rain water could have baptized him, but I don't think it really matters.
However, even if he had, what purpose would it serve to be Baptized if there was not true obedience within him and to obey the Will of God, it would have been in vain.
That's a good point, what good is a baptism if the guy was bad.
Absolute True Conversion begins with a change of heart. Even if there are some with little or almost no faith decide to be converted, it would still prove that they have a change of heart and are willing to accept the Truth.
That is what matters Brother!
Jesus is going to look for people who have made true conversions at Judgement. Is that the same as Baptism by Fire?
