Hello Jovaro!
I know full well that Carol can answer those questions probably better than i can, but i'll try!
Satan tempted Jesus to prove that He was the Son of God{As if He did not know already! :roll: }, as in this verse here: And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Matthew 4:3
Of course He{Jesus] could have easily have made the stones turn into bread, but the trickery from the Devil was to Have Him{Jesus}give in to the will of Satan and do not the Will of God or to stray from the path of God.
Furthermore it is written:Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him{Jesus}, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.
Matthew 14:33
Now, if the words that were uttered by the disciples were not true then Jesus would have very well rebuked them.
And to top it all off and put the icing on the cake, here is a verse for you: But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Matthew 26:63,64
The High priest asked Jesus if He was the Son of GOD? And Jesus responded by saying,"Thou hast said"which literally means{It is as you said}
I hope i answered your question to some degree, if not then someone else might make it clearer.
God Bless!
