2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
There are two different usages of the word image being used here. We were created in the image of God, in the sense of the trinity. Body, mind, and spirit, three parts as God consists of three, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
On the other hand Christ was the "image" of God, in the sense that He was the part that our eyes saw. God is invisible, Christ is the image, the visible part, of the unseen God. He is also called the light of the world. The verse listed has nothing to do with our created image, but simply explaining what and who Christ was/is.
Does that help?
