Christian/Muslim ThreadsJesus DivinityHello there my friend! It is written:When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.Matthew 8:10-12 Key words:Children of the Kingdom{Jews, His own people} His own people were blind to the truth. Example:They rejected His message as the Son of God and as His claim to be even a prophet. If they rejected Him as a Prophet do you really believe that they will except His claim as the Son of the Living God? It is written: But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure{beg of} thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.Matthew 26:63,64 Thou Hast said{It is as you said},do you understand? The truth was spoken out of the mouth of the High Priest and yet He himself was unaware of his very own words, displaying ignorance and spiritual blindness. It is also written:The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. John 10:33 Another CLEAR example of spiritual blindness. If they did not understand His claim to be the Son of God or better yet a prophet, do you really believe that they would understand His claim to be GOD? Omega wrote:
Heh heh! When the term or expression Son of God is used concerning Christ, it delineates the relationship between the first two members of the Triune God. The Hebrew expression Son implies one with the same nature as the Father. In the sense there is no real difference between”Son of God” and God the Son, you do not have to be a rocket scientist to realise this if you understand Hebrew phrases. Both emphasize the deity of Christ and His unique relationship with the Father. omega wrote:
It is His GOD! It is written: But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: Hebrews 1:9,10
You are right it is interesting Let me explain:Very CLEAR and simple, man and God, understanding of man and the higher thoughts and ways of God Almighty! It is written:Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41 Jesus was praying to the Spirit of God that dwells within Him, do you understand? Further explanation:He{Jesus} was praying to HIS SPIRIT! DO you understand this? Omega wrote:
It does not mean that they are one? I beg to differ! HE{JESUS} was praynig To HIS SPIRIT!, and His spirit said{HE must go on}even if the flesh suffers torment or agony. Do you understand this? Do you see the message here?
