I have friends who practice martial arts, and though they don't use energy to move objects, they talk about channeling it.
So if a person really can do this, is it bad? I mean if they're only using energy, then what's the harm? Sorcery is using the assistance of witchcraft, and evil spirits. "
If they're channelling energy, then at its most basic level it's shamanism, the root practice of witchcraft. It attacks the sovereignty of God - it's us trying to be in the driving seat.
Sorcery isn't witchcraft; sorcery ultimately is the interaction with and control of demons, or 'angels' as the medieval grimoires put it. Parts of witchcraft fall more especially under the category of using energy. Either way it moves us away from God and into an area where the human mind attempts to control events ie. magick. Rebellion and sin. It can open the human psyche up to the demons, although that doesn't always happen.
