Jesus says it all.
Marriage is not the piece of paper. It is the consumation that happens when the couple has intercourse the first time. The two become one flesh. (Matthew 19:4-6; Mark 10:6-9) Of course, according to Jesus, this is also only by two people that are not currently married to another living partner. Divorce is just a piece of legal paper and not recognized by God. So, just because they are divorced or not legally married, doesn't mean they are unmarried in His eyes.(Matt 5:31-32,19:6,19:10-11) This has recently presented a major dilemma for myself, as I am planning to get remarried.
As far as two men loving each other, they can love each other, but not as marriage partners(sexually) in God's eyes. Jesus specifically states "But from the beginning God made them male and female. I'm not willing to argue that. Are you? God will forgive them for any sins, but they must walk away from the sin and renounce it before God, or they will only be considered an abomination in his eyes, and it will be impossible for them to reach heaven.
