ArchivedThis song by Metallica... :: Re: This song by Metallica...It seems to be glorifying death. Just like with there song of the sandman, and the song that says until it sleeps. They are taking the object of death or of things of itself and making it a person, a kinda power if you will. What part that interests me is that it says I, rule the midnight air the destroyer the destroyer, and the prince of the air has always been Satan. Born, I shall soon be there, deadly mass I, creep the steps and flood final darkness Born I shall soon be there, the final darkness. Kinda seems like it speaks for the antichrist who is in the world and will soon come, and will be the final darkness. I'm not saying this is what this means but, sometimes these musicians let Satan channel things through them as messages and they do not realize it. Satan when in heaven was also of angel of music. So would not it seem fit he use music to enchant or direct, or speak to those that would listen. Very well. The last part talks of the lambs blood they put over the door ways as the last plague from God through Moses to let Gods children go, so after all that it said before it, it states that I shall pass over the blood. This could very well be kinda representing as saying Satan is God, since it seems to be putting him in the place of God from the previous lines or lyrics. |
