cows are holy becase they give us poop which was used as fuel in the villages, the milk, and it pulls heavy loads. thats why it is sacred in villages.

Also you have Brahman who could care less if cows are worshiped rather than him.
Polytheism causes confusion, how can you be a devout follower of one god then serve another at the same time?
