Archivedopen minded :: Re: ReplyRe: Reply They are. Or do you feel that those that commit those atrocoties are representative of every Muslim? Christianity has the unfortuate privilige of representing the western world and has a rather checkered history. Look at all the death that has been attributed to Christianity in the course of world events. The crusades, the inquisition, missionaries etc. Many of the third world do not practice Christianity adnd what they see of it, it is a bloated, forceful religion that has conversion as it's goal in helping people. Want food? Praise Jesus. Want a new bridge? Praise Jesus. Want medicine? Praise Jesus. Christians have decided to take the moral high ground and that means needing to act as though that choice was made. To do otherwise is hypocritical. Because the USA is a non-denominational country. I completely agree with the idea of seperation of church and state. If you want your child to have a religious experience in school, send them to a private school. My child does not need to have other religions shoved down their throats. The taliban could not seperate church and state and you saw what happened to them. Of course they represented the very worse that can happen. |
