Christian/Muslim ThreadsWhy wont Muhammed come back at Judgement? So you're saying that if the people didn't have a name then they didn't exist? Their name was "Christians". Historians later usurped the name for the Trinitarians. Do you know how the OT tells you stories about the OT Prophets? Well these are on the authority of Moses (pbuh). Right? Adam himself didn't write the story of Adam and Eve in the OT, but you take the word of Moses (pbuh) because you believe in him as a Prophet. In this way do you learn about older Prophets from Prophets given revelation 1) How do you know what would contradict what God would do if you base what God WOULD do on "the Gospels" which were not revealed to any of God's Messengers? 2) A Prophet coming between the Messiah's first and second coming is "too outrageous" for you to believe? Well that's the exact reason Jews give for not believing in Jesus (pbuh). It was just too outrageous for them I guess, but that's the nature of disblief. 3) Neither Muhammad nor Ishmael were ever pagans 4) Yes, people can certainly be misguided by false teachings who claim they are "inspired" So how do they pray? In what direction? Based on what revelation did they decide to pray? Obviously the role of banks would change without interest. Banks become intermediaries between lenders and borrowers and would be financed by the government for its services, not by interest on loans. You sound like you're trying to defend drug dealers by saying "well how will the drug dealers stay in business if we make drugs illegal?" Usury is unlawful in the same way. I believe that by spreading God's values and laws for mankind and lawful economic systems we can live as best as we possibly can. There's a difference between interest and service charge at banks. In fact your bank will even tell you the difference. The service charge is MINISCULE compared to the actual interest lenders get paid and borrowers have to pay, so it's NOT about just paying off bank workers. Banks are extremely lucrative organizations. If fat cats want to steal and waste tax money, that's also unlawful, but taxes in themselves are not if properly administered. Usury is always forbidden though. What God says is right is right, and what God says is wrong is wrong. The problem with people who don't follow Scripture is that they act on their own whims. Then you get gay priests being allowed to preach to Christians about "good Christian values". Borrowing and lending is permissible, charging interest is not. When you borrow goods, you are paying for the services they temporarily gave you, you're not paying "interest". Borrowing money then having to pay back more money is the definition of interest, so yes it's very different from using a good and paying for its wear and tear under your use. That's pretty good, bro, most Christians are divided on this issue. This is my opinion: http://www.sunnipath.com/resources/Ques ... 00269.aspx Ok next question: What do you think of gays' right to marry, propagating their sexuality in the media, writing children's books with gay themes, having public demonstrations?
