Right:
Firstly, the Genesis verse: KJV
Chapter 3:
17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
I personally don't see anything which suggests animals did not die in these verses. I thought this verse was to show how man would have to struggle against nature to get his grub, as opposed to the garden when he could just walk around eating fruit from the trees.
The Romans verse is more interesting. The KJV is hideously hardcore, so if you don't mind I'd prefer to use NIV:
Chapter 8:
18I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. 20For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21that[9] the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
There's a lot of stuff in here. Might be best if you run through it with your opinions beads and I'll see if I'm in agreement.
God Bless
