ArchivedWhat was the sin of Sodom?God sent Jonah to Nineveh and the city repented; Lot, a righteous man (according to Scripture), sat in the luxury and decadence of Sodom and did not affect the city at all. Good people can affect bad choices when they do the will of God. Sodom reminds me of Western culture in the 20th century, and Lot represents many who call themselves Christians in our culture. Most Christians raised with traditional beliefs based more on prejudice than Biblical truth agree with you. I originally posted this on another Christian message board and it stirred up a lot of debate, however, I made my point. As to what the Bible says about homosexuality per se I list in the beginning of my essay, so if you go back and read it again, you have the answer to your question. As to what made me change; it was the conviction of the Holy Spirit, not the judgment on Sodom. |
