ArchivedTattoosNo. Suicide is forbidden in Islam, and so is killing others. "On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone slew a person unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if anyone saved a life it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Then although there came to them Our apostles with clear Signs yet even after that many of them continued to commit excesses in the land. " (5:32) If I, Allah forbid, kill anyone, it will be as if I have killed the whole mankind. Such is the sin of killing a person, be it a Muslim or non-Muslim. I'm talking about killing of humans, even killing of animals is a great sin in Islam, except if the animal may kill you. "The Prophet said, "A woman entered the (Hell) Fire because of a cat which she had tied, neither giving it food nor setting it free to eat from the vermin of the earth. " (Sahih Bukhari, 4.535) Yes. And Islam does not permit either of them. But some Muslims commit them, so do some Christians, Hindus, etc. But only those committed by Muslims are shown on TV, making the common person believe that it is Islam that is the cause. Islam is never the cause of any evil, for Islam forbids all evil, and encourages all good. Take care |
