5.051 “O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.”
But then?
5.082 “Certainly you will find the most violent of people in enmity for those who believe (to be) the Jews and those who are polytheists, and you will certainly find the nearest in friendship to those who believe (to be) those who say: We are Christians; this is because there are priests and monks among them and because they do not behave proudly.”
Therefore, the Qur’an states contrasting things here. They (Muslims) should not be friends with Christians however “you will certainly find the nearest in friendship to those who believe (to be) those who say: We are Christians” but then again here (5.051) “Take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends.” ?
What about the Holy Spirit?
5.110“When Allah will say: O Isa son of Marium! Remember My favor on you and on your mother, when I strengthened you I with the holy Spirit.”
And still on this “We” thing:
4.163 “We have sent thee inspiration, as We sent it to Noah and the Messengers after him: we sent inspiration to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and solomon, and to David We gave the Psalms.”
“We” didn’t send Noah/Moses/Jacob anything – God alone did that. He called to Moses and He said:
“I am the God of your ancestors – the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” (Ex. 4:6)
4.168-9 “Those who reject Faith and do wrong,- Allah will not forgive them nor guide them to any way- Except the road of hell, wherein they will abide for ever. And that is ever easy for Allah.”
Whereas:
Ezekiel 18:4 “For all people are mine to judge” 18:23 “Do you think I like to see wicked people die? Of course not! I only want them to turn from their wicked ways and live…”
