Christian/Muslim ThreadsIf the devil can be a snake, cant God be a man?Sure, but my point is that in your rationalization, you did not even acknowledge that the true understanding just might be outside of the realm of human understanding. I only want you to acknowledge that, and not stick to the belief that everything can and will be explained by the human element. No, a claim and a book is not enough for that. The claim and the book must be verifiable and non-contradictory, which Jesus and the Bible are. All other religions are just a spin-off of the same idea - do enough good things and you'll get to heaven. Only Christianity teaches that you can't do enough good things, that you need a savior. It is as straightforward as it seems. You're not putting anything between God and you because Jesus is God. That's the only way He could be our savior and die for the sins of the world. This is the conclusion we reach when we study the Bible, not "blind faith." Are you saying it is against God's nature for their to be an existence of a trinity? How so? The trinity is a doctrine that is taught in the Bible. The Bible is the inerrant Word of God. Therefore, the trinity is true. You have no idea of the background that I come from or of how much study I have put into the Bible. I am no more guilty of blindly accepting the Bible as you are of blindly denying it. Didn't even read the excerpts, did you? Romans 1:20 says that creation itself is a testimony to God. Those 5 billion are without excuse because the testimony of creation is enough for them to be convinced of their need for a savior. Some things must be taken on faith, that's all there is to it. There is no way that humans will ever understand everything. I have come to terms with that. You apparently have not. You think that everything can be explained. And you say I make brazen statements..... |
