Peace everyone,
Read the Gospel and read the Quran, and observe the obvious differences. From these differences one can see the God of Christianity and the God of Islam are quite different. Make sure you are following the correct God that is real and true.
The Gospels are free of humanistic laws and legalism.
The Gospels are free of bias against people who sin. No stonings of adulteresses or things of this nature. Jesus is a peaceful preacher and who is the Messiah. The Gospel is the most Godly message we have recieved, free of bias and human legalism. It is truly a law even that angels live by. A law that is truly a heavenly one. It is based on love. We all love one another and get along by always doing what is best for others. Before you start to gag just understand that this isn't to be dismissed as girly or overidealistic. It is what people must to to best achieve a life most pleasing to God. God is not swayed or impressed if you follow all of the humanistic laws, those have little pull with God.
God is love and He desires that we do what is best for other people.
Love is to nurture the good in others, that's basically the big definition of love. That is what Jesus did. He saw sinners and tax collectors and rather than dismissing them as misguided people He ate with them and hung aroudn them and got to know them, like Zaccheus who was a tax collector. He reached out to them and showed them where they were wrong and taught them how they must be. He even spared a licentious woman who was caught in the act of cheating. We (I admitt even myself, would dismiss this woman as a whore and the where the Jews (and Muslims) would proceed to stone her, but Jesus had her spared because He saw goodness in her still. He sternly warned her to stop her licentious ways. He saw them as humans, no more or less a human being than Caesar or the most righteous Pharisee.
This is the big difference between Jesus and Muhammed. This is the biggest difference between God of Christianity and God of Islam. Not even the Trinity is the #1 difference.
Muhammed really could have learned alot from Christ.
