Bible StudyIs the NIV for real???The translators of the KJV pulled a lot out of the Geneva Bible so what has been posted regarding the new translations can also be said of the KJV. God's word was written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek; not English. As I posted above 1 John 5:7 is a proven addition to God's word. Prior to the Reformation the Bible most widely used in the West was the Vulgate, which includes books Protestants don't accept as inspired; and the Septuagint in the East (still used by the Greek Orthodox Church). The KJV has changed over time, since the original contained the Apocrypha and did not have Christ's words in red (a marketing plow). "He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him". God saves not the book used to learn of Him. |
