Well God have mercy on my misguided soul.
I could tell from your first post that you are a Jehovah Witness. Not meaning to be sarcastic just pointing out that your understanding of scripture is supposed to be the only true and correct understanding by your words, am I correct in this statement?
You say you are a Christian and yet deny that Christ is God. You ask why He prayed to Himself, is this question divine knowledge or sarcasm? Why do you not capitalize God when you combine it with Jesus?
You say you use the KJV so people will believe what you say. Is it truly the KJV alone you use or the KJV as explained to you by the Watchtower?
Does, my friend, your infallible knowledge about scripture come through teachings of the Watchtower?
Please correct me if I am wrong but does not the Watchtower claim to be God's inspired prophet who gives prophesies under angelic direction and speaks in Jehovah's name;(The Watchtower, April1, 1972, p.197)
As you say the whole Bible is God's word, (Word of God)
Lets look at a couple of verses, Deuteronomy 18:20-22
KJV-But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
Now lets read one from the N.T. Matthew 7:15-20
KJV-Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
With the contents of these two different Biblical statements I feel we can understand the Word of God to be saying that if a prophet speaks in God's behalf and the thing he says does not happen there is no truth in him.
In the more then 100 years the Watchtower has been giving prophecies the Watchtower has had 100% failure.
According to Deuteronomy 18 and Matthew 7, the Watchtower is a false prophet and does not speak in God's name. There fore the scriptures are saying we should not fear, respect, believe or trust what the Watchtower says. Please do not be deceived. "Mistakes" are not the same as "false prophecies." We all make mistakes, but the Society claimed to predict dates on God's authority as His prophet.
Just as the Watchtower has been false in its prophecies, it is also false in its doctrines.
Just one example but by no means an insignificant example would be the doctrine that Jesus is the first created being and not God incarnate, I have listed a single verse from the scriptures at my disposal.
