Christian Music ~ Lyrics and Mp3'sTrue Christian Music
Pardon me, but this is not a great point..... it is an arrogant point. What makes you think that a person will not come to salvation without CCM? Do you think that God isn't powerful enough to completely turn around an individual's life, but that He needs a little help in the form of a "bridging" style of music? You're basically saying "God can't reach this person just through preaching a traditional music. He needs our help on this one." Sure, but our faith is not grounded in feelings. And our music should appeal, not to our feelings, but to our conscience. It doesn't. That's the point. But CCM tries to make an exception to the doctrine of separation. Well, I've never said that your choice in music is going to send you to hell. You've made the choice, based on what you believe the Bible teaches, to listen to a worldly style of music with separated Christian words. I've made the choice, based on what I believe the Bible teaches, to listen to music that has both separated music and words. We'll both have to answer for our choices. I hope, for your sake, that being separated in words only is enough for God, but I tend to think that you can't be "too separated," and God would rather us be "too separated" than "not quite separated enough."
What do you think of this:
If you're expecting a voice from above, then you probably never will get that response. Do you think Charles Stanley ever gets a response from God that him still preaching is wrong? Probably not. Yet, is it not taught in the Bible that those who are divorced are not to be pastors? Just because you're not getting a response from God doesn't mean you're doing everything right. Did I ever say that? Do you think I go through life with no entertainment at all? Do you think that entertainment that is "fun" in God's eyes has to also be "fun" in the world's eyes? |
