Well, I am a Christian, for approximately some four years. I got acquainted with Islam at the same time when I began studying Christianity -- at one point I was leaning heavily towards Islam, but then gave my full attention to the Bible. I used to spend every single minute I had available, studying both, the Bible and the Quran, and used to do extensive research on the Islamic beliefs. Ironically, it was the Quran which spoke so much about Jesus and the Book, that made me go back to the Bible.
Upon considering the claims by Islam, and the lack of evidence provided, I was forced to accept the fact that there was no legitimate argument from the Quran that would stand against the Bible. At the time, it was a lack of evidence from the part of Islam. Today, however, it is the presence of so much evidence, that clearly contradicts the Islamic claims that makes me stand by the Bible.
I have grown since my second birth into the Spirit. And I continue to grow, with diligence and perseverance.
I am 23, I was 18, a couple months before 19, when I first began my journey. I am still following the path, I am still in the way which was made pointed out by John the Baptist, and lit by the Holy Spirit.
John 14:6
Jesus *said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
Blessings!
wow, with the exception of your statement about lack of evidence in Islam...what you wrote was like a biography for me! you and i are basically in the same exact situation. i am leaning towards Islam and i constantly study both Bible and Qur'an...but then again, you have a little head start on me.
