my dear boy, it is you who were in error about the constitution containing racism, when it never has. It was you who were in error about the 15th amendment being ratified in 1830, when it was 1870, and the 15th amendment having very little to do with race, except the Right to vote. From 1804 to 1865, there were no amendments passed at all.
I was somewhat vage about the OT slave issue, because I did not have the info on hand, but what I have said is in compliance with the scripture you quote. Not a subject I usually deal with, and didn't take the time to look it up in my strongs.
The point I was making, is that no where in the scripture does it give a slave holder the right to treat his slave as a non-human. The form of slavery practiced in the U.S. did exactly that. The reason being is, that our founding documents claim that all men were created equal, and endowed by their Creator with rights. There for the U. S. supreme court ruled that: "they were at that time considered as a subordinate and inferior class of being, who had been subjugated by a dominant race,".
The court had to make the African people less than human, or afford them the same rights as whites secured by the constitution. The way they done it was reach past the scripture, past the constitution, and use the "science" of evolution to dehumanize the slaves. While true that evolutionary thought had been kicked around for years, It did not gain it's prominance until Charlie wrote his slimology fairy tale.
The word race is part of the lie of evolution. There is no such thing as race. Ethnic groups yes. But the word race has always been used to dehumanize people groups, so they can be exploited or slaughtered.
No good social fruit has ever come from the tree of evolution.
