Christian/Muslim ThreadsIslamic Perspectives of The Death & Return of Jesusإِذَا جَاء نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ Discredit Ibn Kathir for what ? He already agreed in quoting "Ibn Jarir says: Interpreters have a difference of opinion regarding the meaning of this verse " In the begining of His Tafsir of the verse. Some of these differences of opinions that Ibn Kathir quoted from Ibn Jarir was explained by Abdullah Yusuf Ali. For the rest of our readers, not you Liberate who can careless, I gave a some what non prejudice source "Neil Robinson" who gives a complete listing of all the madzhabs or schools of thaught about this issue. Ibn Kathir accepted the opinion that Jesus is alive in the heaven and will return according to hadeeth not according to Quran. He does not make it "ijmah" which is not a required belief but it is only an opinion. The scholar was informative letting others know that other scholars did not hold the same opinion as he does but they differed making himself subject to error. And here you are saying that I am making stuff up when there are other muslims and scholars who do not accept the opinion that Jesus is alive in the body in heaven and will return again. http://www.understanding-islam.com/rpr/pr-011.htm , http://www.geocities.com/nad_qur/ . Other scholars interpretation try to make it "ijmah" when they well know other scholars disagree. Scholars make no claim that they are inspired nor do muslims hold such beliefs that they are. I pasted Dr. Ahmad Shafaat who explains the different beliefs and interpretations in Islam but you still bluntly state that I am making stuff up when this is something that was in dispute before this country was even founded by Europe. On the other hand many of us hold to the school of thaught that Jesus is not alive in the body in heaven and there will be no return except on the day of Judgement. The literal interpretation of the hadeeths that make mention of his return contradict each other muchless contradict the Quran. I posted two web sites above in this post by two muslim canadates who show the grave contradiction between the literal interpretation of the hadeeth and the Quran in their Tafsir and hold the same simular view as I do. The Quran is the word of Allah and hadeeth are not. You cannot take that which is not divine to interpret the meaning of that which is divine. The Quran defines its own meanings within its self. Many muslims have done this, interpreting the meaning of the Quran with Hadeeth, and have adopted nothing more than christian ideology to appeal to Christians, in which the dogmatic literal belief of Jesus still being alive in the body in heaven and is to return to liberate muslims against the anti Christ ~ Dajjal ie imposter Christ, is merely a false hope and expectation that crept its way into islamic teachings due to the massive amount of Christians who converted to Islam. A poison that speaded like a desease that affected others. Paul who was inspired by the holy spirit proclaimed to his followers that Jesus would return in his time. Indeed he was dispointed, just like how many of you are going to be dispointed. Indeed. To add to this another reason such a belief became so dominantly circulated and widely accepted amongst western muslims is cause the school of thaught was introduced first to the west by scholars who held such opinion whereas many other scholarly works that where in the contrary were not entroduced to the west mainly cause their work have not been translated in english from Arabic. I guess you havent read some of my debates with Apple Pie against the NOI ie Nation Of Islam and the Ahmadiyya of lahore. As far as I am concerned the NOI are Kufar they have the same simular ideology of Fardh Muhammd just like Christians believe about Jesus. Also many of them think they are gods. The punishment for such a one is the reward of Hell. The Ahmadiyya of Lahor, whom is the NOI main source of Tafsir, claims the Messiah who was Hazrat Al-Haaj Hakeem Maulana Nooruddin already came back and died http://www.jesus-christ-forums.com/home/viewtopic ... 6619#36619 . When I already said over and over that any man that claims to be the messiah is a lier, as the messiah will not return to this life. |
