Christian/Muslim ThreadsIslamic Perspectives of The Death & Return of JesusThat is not what I asked, I didn't ask for their numbers. I asked for the names of these sects, surely they have names, I gave an example of sects within 'christianity' that have their own beliefs in opposition with the majority of others, the mormon church, the Jehovah witnesses, the Branch Davidians. Are you telling me these sects within Sunni and Shia that don't believe Jesus is coming back don't even have a name for themselves to differentiate them from the majority on such a crucial doctrine? You are basically saying with the hair analogy that many Sunnis and Shias do not believe Jesus is coming back and you are unable to provide any evidence that they believe this. Your comment in bold gives the FALSE impression you are speaking for the majority if not all muslims. Since you do not believe in it, do you have a name for the sect that you represent that does not believe this? This is all I am asking. Let me check on the beliefs of those sects myself. Like I said I have not met a sunni or shia that does not believe Jesus is coming back. I am interested in finding out the beliefs of those that don't. I take it you are a quran only muslim?
Listen to what you are typing, you are accepting that this fellow is one of the greatest interpretators of the koran, yet you chose purposely to dismiss what he believes on what particular verses says. Did you not say Ibn Kathir is one of the greatest interpretators of the koran? yes or no? Does Ibn Kathir believe that Jesus is coming back? yes or no? If you don't believe what he says, then you are telling us he is in error, you are discrediting what he has to say which comes as no surprise this is WHAT YOU HAVE DONE WITH EVERYBODY. You would rather believe modern apologetic islamic propaganda, in fact anybody that agrees with you regardless of their other beliefs ( this is what I mean when I say you pick and chose and make it up as you go along) such as those in understanding-islam specifically designed to address the moral and logical fallacies in the koran and hadiths to a modern audience, which normally involves discarding hadiths... biting the hand that feeds you. Where did Ibn Kathir state that this is not a required belief? Or are you making a case out of silence.? you mean this: In other words do you know the names of these sects within sunni and shia that don't believe Jesus is alive? It looks like you are deflecting attention by asking me to go obtain a book about it. You are the one making the statement that sects within sunni and shia do not believe Jesus is alive. The onus on proof is on you copying and pasting material to tell me to obtain a book to prove your point is a very weak stance. PS when are you going to give your audience the website link you obtained the tafsir in this post http://www.jesus-christ-forums.com/home/viewtopic ... llah#38969 If the tafsir above on 3:55 was interpolated and amended by you to change the meaning, your readers have a right to know. I am giving you the benefit of the doubt to defend your stance. |
