who gave you the idea that hinduism doesnt believe in God? we do believe in God. this relationship between the devotee and God is personal. and its the person who chooses the path to follow in order to attain salvation. who is God? a divine spirit that exists in everything. hindus need to be one with the spirit in order to be released from suffering. there are several paths to attain salvation. there are the 4 yogas, (karma, raja, shakti, jnana) as well as several personal paths. the reason why there are so many is because there are many different people in the world with different relationships with God. the christian religion only believes in one path, but unfortunitly there are several denominations, leading into confusion. hope that answers your questions. for religions like buddhism there is no God. you follow the eightfold path to enlightenment. both buddhists and hindus and sikhs believe in reincarnation, many chances to get into a higher rebirth and attain salvation. once you attain it, you are free from samsara (birth, death, rebirth). |
