Oh good. Now you are challenging quotes from the Bible. If you want to do that, then none of your "Scriptures" amount to a thing, either -- because you cannot prove any of them. Maya -- all is illusion!
By the way, the "Christian propaganda" of the Gospels has been around since the first century -- which is when eyewitnesses could have repudiated what was written. But they didn't.
You say Jesus' teachings will lead you to salvation.
Salvation from what?
One of His teachings reads this way: "I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins." (John 8:24)
The "I am the one" reads, in the Greek, "ego eimi" -- which translates into "I am I AM." This is who God identified Himself as to Moses. Jesus claimed to be God. Not a prophet. Not a nice man. Not one of many paths. He claimed to be God, and the ONLY way to eternal life.
Here is something else from the Christian propaganda we call the Word of God, or the Bible: "He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God -- children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God." (John 1:10-13
You see, it is not a matter of following His teachings as moral precepts or ideas for right living. It is a matter of belonging to Him totally, and, actually, that is the only way anyone really can follow Him. None of us, on our own, have the power to be good and not insult God via sin.
You say "balance does not mean equal." Excuse me but that is the definition of balance! Language exists for the purpose of communication. If two things are in balance on a scale, they are of equal weight. If two things are in balance philosophically, that means they carry equal moral weight or at least claims. You may play with words if you like, but changing their meaning in order to make a point means nothing.
As far as your explanation of Hindu beliefs and paths as you wrote it, you are spouting forth some very erroneous stuff -- that same western, sanitized version I referred to earliere. It shows me you paid no attention at all to my links. Now, I read yours, and even quoted from it. Why are you being so stubborn as to not read material about your own faith?
And as far as asking what caste you were born into, the only reason that would be considered rude is if you are of dark skin. I am sorry to be so blunt, but the basis of the caste system is skin color. The light skinned gurus and such are quite proud of their caste.
You need to learn a WHOLE lot more about Hinduism AND Christianity before you try to continue promoting one and shooting down the other!
