All,
I would like to take a few moments to reflect back on the Lexical authority of the references that I have been utilizing, and how they have come under “fire” by Muslim(s) that cannot thwart my exegesis’s…
The prime example, from this forum, would be coming from H20…
Let’s review H20’s “progression” in his understanding of the unimpeachable classic Arabic references that I have been utilizing…
Here is what he had to say when he could not refute my references…
I will get your Dictionary and more. What I am going to do is scan those root entries as you like coming from various Dictionaries of the Quran and save them as an http image for this forum. I want to show clear proof on what you are doing, and post up what you have left out and what you could see. Give me some time I will be back with what we need.
Well, this, like most of what H20 mentions, never materialized…
So…when he realized the dead-end that he was on, he tried this tactic…
O by the way Apple Pie dont think I forgot about our discussion on the other forum about Istawaa, but I want you to go find out who Abdul Omar Mannan ( The Author of the Dictionary of the Quran you are using) is the son of. He is the son of Maulana Noor Ud Din.....lol. If you only knew what you have in your hand you would probably burn that dictionary. Put it this way does name Ahmadiyyah of Lahore ring a bell . Go research who the Ahmadiyyah movement is and who Maulana Noor Ud Din is, your going to be . But anyhow I am still going to persue our discussion on the other forum, but I am giving you a hint of what I am going to come at you with in criticism of that Dictionary you have
So…when he could not prove the Lexical references of Omar wrong, he decides to attack Omar’s father…
Furthermore, he recommends that I “burn” my copy of Omar’s dictionary…
Then…rather than taking his very own advice, he has Omar’s dictionary “fed-exed” to his doorstep, and still, he could not refute its solid classical Arabic sources, so he opted next to order Lane’s Lexicon on CDROM…
I am waiting for teh BIGGER package to get here though, then we will bit by bit tear that dictionary and the auther to shreds as a trusted source. But first I dont wanna talk about it I wanna show it. Oh by the way I smell blackness in the air Who refered you to that Dictionary the NOI ?
Now…we are all waiting patiently for him to “tear that dictionary and the author to shreds as a trusted source”…
It’s been a couple of months now….and nothing but sheer silence….!
His silence tells us all we need to know regarding the Lexical authority that Omar’s Dictionary carries with it…
Let’s take a moment to review H20’s comments regarding Lane’s Lexicon BEFORE he even had a copy of it to quote from…
Quote:
If you actually had a hard copy of Lane’s work, then you would have already quoted from him in support of your position.

Edward Lane Arabic Lexicon Vol. 5

Now…this is most interesting, as volume 5 does not start until page 1,759…!
Looks like he cannot even lie very well….
So…now he has E.W. Lanes Arabic-English Lexicon…and he holds Lanes’ work in very high esteem as have legions of other Muslims over the past century…
Let take a look at the “memoir” section of Lanes’ Lexicon…
One day in the week lane closed his books. His early training had led him to regard Sunday as a day to be set apart for the things of religion, and his long sojourn in the East had in no wise weakened this feeling. In Egypt he had frequently attended the prayers at the mosques and there comported himself in all outward appearance as Muslim; but this was only because without thus conforming to the ways of the people he could never have acquired the knowledge of their character which he afterwards turned so great an account. To the last he preserved the simple earnest faith of his childhood. His acquaintance with the original languages of the Old and New Testament and his insight into Semitic modes of thought had certainly modified his views on some of the minor points, but in the essential doctrines of Evangelical Christianity his belief never changed. But his religion was not a mere matter of intellectual adhesion to a given set of dogmas; he carried it into every-day life…He was a Christian gentleman, of a fashion of life that is passing away.
Sunday was to Lane a day of religion rather than a day of rest. In the morning or afternoon he would, if he were well enough, attend the office of the Church of England. The remainder of the day he spent chiefly in Biblical study, for which as a Hebrew scholar he possessed critical knowledge that most of our divines might be envied. But it was not as a philosophical amusement that he pursued his researches. To him the Bible was the guide of his life; and he used his every endeavor to understand each doubtful passage, to emend each ignorant rendering, to interpret by the light of Semitic thought those dark sayings which the Aryan translators comprehended not, and not least to discover the harmony of scripture and science. Thus his Sundays were not a time of thorough rest, such as the severe character of his week-day work required them to be. His Biblical reading often tried him more than a days’ work at the Lexicon…
Thus, as we can clearly see for ourselves….Lane is a devoted Christian.
Now…what does this state regarding Muslims that hold to the authority of a Christians work…?
H20 has gone from denying a fellow Muslims’ integrated classical Arabic lexical compilation, to that of whole-heartedly accepting a Christians’ integrated classical Arabic lexical compilation…!
Wonders never cease…..
