Christian/Muslim ThreadsIs Christian Faith in Vain?Well Duh... When Jesus died, He decended into hell, and on the 3rd day rose from the dead. When he rose from the dead, he rose to his body. A body which was beaten and whipped repeatadly. He did this to show that he had risen. To prove to all that he was the Messiah and that He could not be killed. What sense would it make for him to rise from the dead into a body of a stranger, that had not endured any pain?
The above passage explains what you quoted below. They were terrified only for a short time. Until Jesus proved who he was. Hence the reason for ressurecting into his crucified body. To prove he was the Messiah. Huh? Please tell me where you read this? Yes he was alive. Amen. He rose from the dead into his crucified body. And the Angels rejoiced. You left a key part out. Yes thunder and lighting, from the Almighty God's anger. But on the Cross, Jesus said "Father, why have you forsaken me?" It was at this time, when God the Father had to turn away. He could not bear to look at his Son, "because the sins of the world were carried on His body." At the time when Jesus died, God shed a sinlge tear for his Son. That tear split the temple. Just as Jesus had declared it would be. Why would the Almighty God shed a single tear for His only Son, if he didn't really die? Finally: You take this out of context. If Christ is not risen on your heart, or you do not believe that he has risen, then our preaching and your faith are in vain. Peace and Godspeed to you ali. |
