Rejoicing and Praising Jesus Christ Forum!Really, what would Jesus do? :: Re: A deafening silenceRe: A deafening silence Ditto. Nice job. So as Christians, what do you think we should do involving the election? From what you have written, are you implying that we should not get involved in the politics of this world? Because I see the argument being two-fold. Though you make some excellent points, there are also excellent points coming from the opposite side. Is this an issue in which Christians should just agree to disagree? I personally do not see it as a fundamental issue. From great evangelists such as D. James Kennedy, I have heard dogmatic teachings that "if you do not vote, it is sin" and he refers to the "render unto Ceasar what is Ceasar's" passage. I personally don't agree with him, because to vote is not an obligation, it is a right. And something which is a right cannot be claimed to be "sin" if you are not involved. The same can be said for something which is relative, and voting is also relative. (Keep in mind, I am not saying we should not vote, or that I am not going to vote). What do you think? |
