Yes well, first loose your caps
difference being, Jesus didn't command pagan rituals like say "pray too the cross in order to be seen when you pray".
the Kaaba is given a divine relevance IN the quran, indoctrinating a pagan custom... into it's faith system
a cross has no divine relevance to a christian other than remembrance of christ, it has no divine meaning. even when a christian holds a cross in her/his hands while praying, he/she is praying to God/Jesus, and not to the cross.
Muslims pray to the kaaba because it has divine meaning, God doesn't see you everywhere at anytime... you are obliged to pray towards it, not with your back to it, you are asked to pray to it at certain times, and not for example in the middle of the night... the stone has divine rituals and divine meaning. muslims carry something (a stone) before God.
If God is everywhere why do you need the kaaba?
and not alone the prayer wich is daily ritual, but also
the pilgrimage, like throwing stones at devils...
praying under a spout for salvation of sin... (i know it's not a part of the pilgrimage so don't try pointing it out)
'anyone who prays under the Kaba's water-pipe becomes as pure as on the day when his mother bore him'.
what has this do with God? when a spout can give you salvation, and mere stones can scare away devils?
